Frieze London 2022
12/10/2022
Attracting over 60,000 visitors annually, Frieze London has been one of London’s biggest and most influential art fairs since 2003. The focus of the art fair is on contemporary art and living artists. It is traditionally held in Regent’s Park, making it a central attraction.
In conjunction with the exhibits in the park, there are a number of participating galleries that also showcase some of the most exciting artists currently contributing to the art scene in London. Over 160 of the most significant galleries from around the world will be showcased in this year’s 2022 edition.
Once you have taken a walk around the park or been through the galleries, Frieze London’s sister event Frieze Masters is within walking distance. Frieze Masters has more of a historical focus, showing work created pre-2000. This gives it an interesting opinion on the relationship between historical art and current contemporary art.
Between the two Frieze events, also in Regents Park lies Frieze Sculpture. Frieze Sculpture is free and open to all until mid-November, with displays of major outdoor works and sculptures.
Whether you’re interested in the art world as a curator, artist, collector or critic, Frieze London and other events form part of London’s best annual art events.
